My story:

I have recently joined the Civil Service graduate scheme and as part of our corporate challenge, we have to raise as much money for our chosen charity as possible. We decided to fundraise for Mind, a charity which does amazing things all across the country. I'm in a team of 11 (Team Chromosomes), and together we have planned a number of fundraising events to happen over the next few months. I also plan to undertake some personal challenges, which I would really appreciate your sponsorship on!

Cause:

The charity Mind supports people with mental health issues and helps promote mental wellbeing. Mental health is a big issue in our society and 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health issue every year. Whilst the awareness surrounding mental illnesses has increased over recent years, there is still a lot of stigma associated with it. This is a charity close to my heart and I have people close to me who have experienced mental health issues, but by supporting Mind hopefully we can go a long way to helping people who suffer from these issues.
