Story

On 22nd April Sarah and Alec will be running 26.2 miles to raise money for Medical Research Institute at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, North Wales.

Alec is running his sixth marathon, to make it one for every decade ;) whilst Sare is running her first...and is bricking it!

Please sponsor - it's a great cause and adds so much motivation for training!

Why the Orthopaedic?

Nanky, (95 year old grandmother/mum-in-law) uses this hospital frequently and, as you'll know if you've met her, is a true inspiration.

Despite suffering constant and severe pain in her neck, she retains a very genuine interest in those around her as well as a cheeky sense of humour. Always to be relied up for a witty observation or fashion tips (she only stopped her Vogue subscription aged 92), she keeps everyone entertained. Nanky has used the hospital for a long time, so it is nice to be able to contribute something to a local good cause.

Can we do it?

Alec could run the race tomorrow but is training as hard as ever to get close to his pb from a few years ago.

Sare is finding it pretty relentless but has got up to 14 miles now! Dad is an inspiration as ever.

Please donate what you can for a great cause - every little helps and adds more motivation for training!!
