Story

                                                                        Sarah Chadd

                                                               26/07/1984  -  10/08/2009

                                                                                  R.I.P

Sarah Chadd was a happy and caring person, she would light up a room with a smile, losing her has shattered so many lives, all of our family, Jamie her boyfriend, pretty much everyone Sarah met. Sarah was taken from us on the 10th of August 2009, just 15 days after her 25th birthday. Sarah worked as a nurse for several years caring for people, to her it was a way of life. She has inspired me to be doing whatever I can to raise money in memory of her, she died from an aggresive cancerous brain tumour. Not many people have really heard of brain tumours or know much about them. I want to raise funds so that awareness can be raised and research to be carried out about brain tumours. Sarah was ill for a long time and was diagnosed only days before her tragic death. With your kind donations I hope we can make a difference so that others don't go uncovered.

I have coppied a small section about Brain Tumour UK so that you can see where your kind donations will be going..............................

Conquering brain tumours through Research, Education and Support

BTUK was founded in 1997, the charity has an impressive track record of providing practical and emotional support to brain tumour patients and their families and has a national network of grassroots supporters

Our Scientific and Medical Advisory Board ensure a solid profile for research and our Annual Educational Conference provides a focal point for dynamic discussions within the UK brain tumour community.

WE WORK TO

  • Increase awareness and knowledge of brain tumours and research into the disease

  • Improve access to information and support, and enhance treatment and care.

  • Raise money to fund an extensive programme of research, education and support

THE CHALLENGE

We challenge the notion that brain tumours are a rare form of cancer and seek to educate policymakers and the lay public regarding the profound and complex impact that brain tumours have on the lives of those affected.

WORK OUTSTANDING

Research is grossly under funded; support for those affected is fragmented and inadequate.

WORKING TOGETHER

Our staff, volunteers and supporters worked steadfastly to convert this unacceptable situation through action and hope.
