Dad died of dementia last Christmas.

I am trekking sections of the Great Wall in remote areas north of Beijing to help raise vital funds having witnessed the devastating effects that dementia brings to the sufferer and their family. Watching the relentless progression of dementia robbing the father I knew and loved of his personality and life was a truly challenging experience.

This trek will not only be both a challenge and an adventure for me but also will raise money (hopefully plenty)  to work towards defeating dementia and also to provide invaluable support for the sufferer and their family

1 in 3 of us over 65 will die with dementia.
