The 2009 Aspect Capital 10k Run (or 20k Bike Ride) is taking place on Sunday 6th September in and around Richmond Park in aid of  VOLUNTEER READING HELP (VRH).

As a company, Aspect is aiming to raise £20,000 for VRH. VRH is a fantastic charity that provides one-to-one support to primary school children struggling with their reading. With your help, the money we raise will enable VRH to reach out to even more children across the country to increase their capability and confidence in one of life's most important skills.

....Unfortunately (for me) I am unable to take part in the main Aspect 10k event.  I have therefore selected a suitably menacing alternative  to raise some more cash for what  is a really, really fantastic cause....

On 10 October, I will  be taking part in the Men's Health Survival of the Fittest, up in sunny Nottingham.  The event is a 10k race with a series of 10 less-than-easy obstacles ....for more details, check out the website...

Any money I raise will be matched by Aspect pound for pound. This means that if you were kind enough to donate £50 and are a UK taxpayer, then VRH would actually receive over £120. So even more reason to make a donation!
