We provide life-changing support for children who have lost limbs through war, accidents, and lack of access to medical care. ELoH provides new limbs, surgery, education, and advocacy for the world's most vulnerable amputees. We believe all child amputees deserve to live a happy and healthy life.

Story

<p><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope will give limbless children in developing countries a bright and active future, by providing low-cost prosthetics and&nbsp;funding for further research into artificial limbs.<br /></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">&nbsp;<br /></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Thousands of children&nbsp;suffer every day because of the devastating effects of limb loss.&nbsp; Their torment is a result of a number of factors including malnutrition, accidents, landmines, illness&nbsp;and&nbsp;violence.&nbsp; Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope seeks to help these&nbsp;struggling&nbsp;children by providing them with the&nbsp;limbs and the support they need&nbsp;to be mobile.<br /></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">&nbsp;<br />Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope was set up by Sarah Hope and Victoria Bacon, twin sisters whose mother, Elizabeth, was run over by a bus in April 2007.&nbsp; Sarah's two year old daughter lost her right leg below the knee and Sarah's left leg was badly damaged&nbsp;in the same incident.</span></span><br /><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">&nbsp;<br />Sarah and Victoria have learnt first hand just how tragic limb loss is.&nbsp; Sarah's little girl now has&nbsp;a prosthetic leg, and is able to live her life to the full.&nbsp; But they are only too aware that there are thousands of children around the world who are not so fortunate and they want to do all they can to help these children.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">The photographs beside&nbsp;this text are of children in Tanzania, whom Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope has already been able to support.&nbsp; We want to help thousands more children, who need your generosity every bit as much.&nbsp;&nbsp; There&nbsp;are also some&nbsp;beautiful pictures of Sarah's daughter Pollyanna and her family.</span></span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">&nbsp;</span></span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Sarah and Victoria offer you their&nbsp;heartfelt thanks for your help.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
