Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope will give limbless children in developing countries a bright and active future, by providing low-cost prosthetics and funding for further research into artificial limbs.

Thousands of children suffer every day because of the devastating effects of limb loss.  Their torment is a result of a number of factors including malnutrition, accidents, landmines, illness and violence.  Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope seeks to help these struggling children by providing them with the limbs and the support they need to be mobile.

Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope was set up by Sarah Hope and Victoria Bacon, twin sisters whose mother, Elizabeth, was run over by a bus in April 2007.  Sarah's two year old daughter lost her right leg below the knee and Sarah's left leg was badly damaged in the same incident.

Sarah and Victoria have learnt first hand just how tragic limb loss is.  Sarah's little girl now has a prosthetic leg, and is able to live her life to the full.  But they are only too aware that there are thousands of children around the world who are not so fortunate and they want to do all they can to help these children.

The photographs beside this text are of children in Tanzania, whom Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope has already been able to support.  We want to help thousands more children, who need your generosity every bit as much.   There are also some beautiful pictures of Sarah's daughter Pollyanna and her family.

Sarah and Victoria offer you their heartfelt thanks for your help.
