I have recently returned from the Gaza strip where I worked voluntarily with registered charity World Medicine which provides complementary and alternative healthcare to people around the world suffering the effects of trauma, disaster and poverty. I was part of a group of six acupuncturists who treated citizens suffering from the physical and emotional effects of trauma and war.  We received such a warm welcome, there was a huge demand for treatment and the results were fantastic. Our aim is for this project to be ongoing and we are planning to return to Gaza in the autumn of 2010 to continue to treat patients with acupuncture. The charity World Medicine really needs your support. Your donation would be greatly appreciated to cover the cost of travel, accommodation, translators and equipment. I would like to thank all those people who have donated so far, your contribution has helped enormously.
