Rowing the English Channel · 19 March 2013

The AHOY work with disadvantaged children, young vulnerable people and those with disabilities. They offer them the opportunity to learn new skills along with the AHOY running courses and programmes to train them to gain qualifications and life skills needed for employment.

Story

I'm rowing the English channel for the AHOY Centre, which changes the lives of young people and disabled people through sailing and rowing.

On 10 August 2013 I'll be rowing my wee heart out from Dover to Calais in a Waterman Cutter traditionally used to ferry passengers across the Thames.

I need to raise £2000 (our whole team has to raise £12k!) so that AHOY can continue using water-based activities to break down social barriers and teach and train people to develop essential life skills, self-confidence and pride.

Donating through JustGiving is fast and secure. Your details aren't shared and you don't get unwanted emails. Money goes direct to AHOY and they get Gift Aid (an additional 25%) on every eligible UK taxpayer donation. So dig deep, people!
