Story

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to click on this link.

Firstly I want to say a massive thank you to everybody who has sponsored me in the past for other races and helped me raise money for some fantastic charities...............

Just when I thought I had conquered my desire to run the Great North Run, the biggest half marathon in the world, I decided the next goal had to be this and my goodness, I can't even begin to put into words how much this means to me, although many will think I have a screw lose!!

Whilst the dream of running the London Marathon becomes a reality, I aim to raise as much money and awareness for FSID which is The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths. This is the UK's leading baby charity aiming to prevent unexpected deaths in infancy and promote infant health. It is a charity very dear to me and my families heart.

Sadly my brother Lee David  passed away a year before I was born on 10th April 1981, he died of COT death, the cause of this is still to be discovered, with your help the money I raise will help towards

Funding Research

Supporting families whose babies have died suddenly and unexpectedly

Disseminating information on infant health, baby care and sudden infant deaths to health professionals and the general public

Working with professionals to improve investigations when a baby dies

Although I never met him, I think about him constantly wondering what he would be like now, he would have been approaching his 30th birthday in April 2011 so what a year to run the London Marathon in his memory.
