Has jumped!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Gift of Sight appeal was established by Prof Andrew Lotery at the University in 2004 to research into the prevention and treatment of blindness.  Andrew’s specific area of expertise is (Age related) Macular Degeneration (AMD) that will affect 1 in 3 of the population by age 75.

Andrew and his team have, for example, identified a genetic risk factor in AMD – which could be a step toward developing treatments.

Over the next 5 years the appeal needs to raise 2.5 million to provide security for the future of Andrew’s research.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
