Salaam Alaykum, 

We (Sayyeda Ismail and Fatema Datoo) are fundraising for The Zahra Trust by swimming 1.5K to help feed minimum 100 orphans for a month inshaAllah (God willing) more depending on the amount of donations received.

We were alhamdulilah (glory be to God) given the chance to go on ziyarat (pilgrimage) to Syria and Iraq in 2011. Seeing the amount of orphaned children left alone in the streets was really heart breaking for us to see. Therefore, this has inspired us to make a change, even if it is a little one.

Unfortunately children who are orphaned do not get the luxuries or love they deserve as a bare minimum and we feel that they need a good secure upbringing so that future generations wont suffer. We know that we can't make a huge difference but inshaAllah whatever we can do will benefit these innocent children, which is why we need your help and input in order to make this possible. Please help us by donating, sharing this page to your family and friends and also by spreading the word.
