A few months ago I went to Sellyoak hospital to visit a friend of mine who had driven over a mine in Afghanistan. Luckily he kept all of his limbs however he has lost the use of his feet due to extensive blast damage. I was incredibly humbled by his 'will not be beaten' attitude, his and all the blokes who shared the ward with him, most of them amputees.

I decided to do something to help these bloke's out, so between 08/05/10 and 19/05/10 I will cycle 1000m the length of the country and attempt to raise as much money as I can for Help for Heroes.
