RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.

We are trying to raise funds for Scotmid/Semichem's charity of the year - RNLI

To do this 8 non-highly tuned deskbound athletes are attempting to play (In the very loosest sense) 4 rounds of golf in 1 day, starting at 05:30 am and back in a bar at around 22:00.  As the crow flies this would involve a walk of around 20 miles but, with a fair bit of diagonal walking, this is liable to be nearer 25 miles, and an average of 360 shots (or 400 for Stewart), On top of all this we also have to listen to Brian Huddart all day assuming we don't hit him with something!

The format for the day will be the HO based staff versus the Field Ops staff for serious bragging rights.

We would like to heartily thank the 4 courses (Longniddry, Kilspindie, Archerfield and Luffness) for accomodating us and Richard at Edinburgh Golf Management for all his help in setting this up.
