<p>Aye, believe it or not, old Scottie is going to run a 10K for charity on the 22nd of May, there is much cynicism about my ability to complete this run therefore I appeal to you to show your confidence or otherwise to support my escapade by generously donating your dosh in aid of Aberdeen Cyrenians</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>There are two charities that are close to my heart at the moment and they are Aberdeen Cyrenians and Befriend a Child</p> <p>Aberdeen Cyrenians is a local charity working with homelessness in the North East of Scotland. Having worked there for 8 years, I fully understand the continuous financial pressures, but also what difference every penny makes to those who are the most vulnerable in our communities.</p> <p>Befriend a Child, does what it says on the tin and is run by some incredible people, and the service is offered by a large group of amazing volunteers. Again the emphasis on giving some of our youngest vulnerable people life chances and experiences.</p> <p>Go on spare a few wee coppers</p>
