KEEPTHEBEAT is a charity established to provide hope and support to the families affected by congenital heart defects. The Charity will have a particular interest in Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, but over time we hope to develop and cover all CHD's.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having taken part in 2 previous cycling endurance events in Harvey Lear's memory, this years "Remembering Harvey" challenge is our toughest yet. Cycling Coast-Coast (Sescale-Whitby) In a day! This is 148 miles with just the 4500mts of climbing thrown in.

Myself & 23 friends are all riding for a fantastic Local charity called KeeptheBeat. Please take 5 mins to look at their website to see the fantastic work that Adam and his Family do at  www.keepthebeat.co.uk and to see the inspiration behind the Charity, Adams son Albert, who has suffered with a heart condition since Birth and recently underwent a successful heart transplant.

Along with the fantastic support Keep the Beat already provide to families at Glenfield Hospital, the Charity has been asked to fund raise for the purchase of a simulation Manequin so that the hospital can provide a permanent simulation cubicle in the Intensive care unit at a cost £25,000.

Please spare whatever you can from the price of a pint to bottle of wine (or more!), its all greatly received and, I promise, put to fantastic use.

Many thanks,

Scott
