The London Marathon · 5 February 2013

Llanberis MRT is one of the busiest in the UK with an annual callout rate of over 220 incidents. Based in and around the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) area the team is made up of about 50 volunteers who are all experienced mountaineers. As a registered charity we rely entirely on your donations.

Story

"We don’t think he’ll make the night", that’s what my wife was told when she arrived at the hospital.

I’d be 9 years dead if it wasn't for the skills of so many people.

Some of those people being the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team.

Thanks to them I will be embarking on my first London Marathon in April.

May 20th 2004, I was air lifted off of a mountain in Snowdonia after falling whilst rock climbing. The road to recovery has been a long one. (Just ask my poor wife!!).

Well I'm ready for my next challenge and running 26 miles for Llanberis Mountain Rescue is my next step and I’d like to raise as much money as I can to thank those involved.

The work they carry out day in, day out isn't funded and without them, I really wouldn’t be here to tell the tale.

Any contributions big or small would be very much appreciated.
