As you may know, I'm running a half-marathon with the CFA society for SHINE on October 11th. If this goes well I may consider returning to the vinyards of the Medoc, the site of my first marathon run, to run another full marathon in costume.

As for my race preparation this time around, I have managed to get through my training with any massive setbacks and hope to make it through the race fine. My legs might not agree as my knees still ache a little and there is a lingering pain in my left gluteus maximus muscle. However, these are only really minor concerns as throughout my practice runs, I managed to skilfully avoid errant cyclists and overly enthusiastic dogs in Clissold Park and luckily dodge distracted drivers in the street. I now look forward to the run on Sunday October 11th as much for the challenge as the obstacle-free course. SHINE is a wonderful charity that does great work for educationally-deprived children in London and Manchester. Every penny that is raised is spent on charitable work as all of the charity's operational costs are met  by its founders.
