Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having had many conversations about doing a charity cycle ride of some description, myself and a few friends have finally signed up to take part in the London to Paris Cycle Ride - just under 500km over four days in July.

As you are probably aware I work for Laing O'Rourke Construction who have delivered a number of projects at University Hospital Bristol, most recently the Bristol Heart Institute. We are also currently working on the design of a new Ward Block, Helipad and Specialist Paediatrics scheme which we hope will start on site later this year.As a consequence of my involvement with the University Hospital the charity I have chosen is the Above and Beyond Charity.

Above & Beyond Charities supports the work of the Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI), Bristol Children’s Hospital, St. Michaels Hospital, Bristol General Hospital, Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre, Bristol Eye Hospital, Bristol Dental Hospital, Bristol Homeopathic Hospital and Clevedon Hospital. Above & Beyond Charities funds projects which touch the lives of the thousands of people cared for by University Hospitals Bristol and local community services each year. Last year the Charity gave over £2.2 million in grants to make a real difference to healthcare in Bristol and the South West.

Above and Beyond shall be providing charity funding to the new schemes we shall be working on so it is hoped that the money raised from my cycle ride shall be able to be allocated to a specific element of the new buildings we shall be constructing.ie art work or therapeutic space

Thanks you very much for your support.

Regards
