At the end of April 2011, four intrepid explorers take to the roads (and sea) covering 3000 miles in 4 days dressed as coppers in a clapped out old Vauxhall Omega with a police paint job, aiming to raise £20,000 for the Scumrun's official charity partner, Dreams Come True. As we realise that driving across Europe in an old banger isn't the most arduous challenge ever encountered, Tom, Ross, Ell Boy and Eleanor have decided to play on our chosen charity's name to ensure that your donation is truly rewarded. About the Charity - Dreams Come True

All children have dreams, but how many get the chance to turn their dream into reality? For every child this would be a magical moment in their lives, but for those suffering from a life-threatening illness or a long-term debilitating condition, it can have an even greater impact. 

Each year Dreams Come True brings a smile to the faces of hundreds of children and young adults between 2 and 21 years who are suffering from a serious or terminal illness. They aim to bring joy into their lives, and the meaning for both the children and their families is profound. 

Popular requests include experiencing the magic of Disney and swimming with dolphins. But any dream is shaped by a child's imagination and special needs, leading to a seemingly endless range of possibilities. Some of the dream requests the charity has recently fulfilled include having cows in the back garden, meeting long-lost relatives in Kenya and Jamaica, naming a police horse, and riding in a rally car.

Other dreams are less adventurous but just as special, for example, having a specially adapted bed which can improve quality of life, or a TV or music centre for a bedroom where the children spend a lot of their time. The charity has even had a request for a special children's tricycle enabling him to keep up with his friends playing outside. But for some children it's simpler things in life that make their dream come true - a trip to Butlins and the seaside, or even for one little boy, the chance to see bananas growing on a real tree.

We're certain that you can see the merits in donating to this fantastic charity, but you're probably not yet convinced that four lads driving across Europe is hard enough work? Well, neither are we - but as we believe in our charity's cause, as our fundraising targets near, we will be forced to bring our personal nightmares to reality, so the more you donate, the tougher life gets for Tom Galanis, Ross Davies, Elliott Bourne and Eleanor Keymer. That's got to be tempting for those of you who know them!

For every donation over £50 - Despite common belief, each and every one of the boys hates girly TV. They've each picked their worst, and each donation of £50 or more will see them endure an hour of it.

£5,000 - They might not think they're scared of heights. They will be when they reach this threshold and they're stood at the top of the highest bungee jump in the UK (Ross is exempt apparently!)

£7,500 - Tom, Elliott and Ross are all pretty hairy boys... not for long. This target means a back, sack & crack wax for our likely lads. Girlfriends happy, boys most certainly not. Eleanor is let off this one!

£10,000 - Who's scared of fire? Now how about walking on it? Raise this much and the boys will be doing exactly that. Ow...

£15,000 - We've all seen Jaws when wewere young. The team will be seeing him up close if they hit £15k. Donate now and they'll be diving with him before he's had his lunch.

£20,000 - Their running days are well behind them (in Tom's case, they never really began) but if they hit this ambitious target, they'll be running a marathon. So much pain!
