Experts now estimate that one in two people will develop cancer at some point in their lives.

In May, I will be taking on 8 peaks in just 8 hours in the Lake District, including Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England to raise funds for Macmillan. 

Macmillan’s ambition is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and to inspire millions of others to do the same.  However they rely on fundraisers for 99% of their support.

Just £2 can keep a typical Macmillan information and support centre stocked with all the information resources they need to support people affected by cancer for one hour

£25 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for one hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
