Vietnam-Cambodia Cycle Challenge · 5 February 2015 to 15 February 2015 ·

Every single day, 15 people are killed or injured because of landmines and other explosive weapons. Almost half of all civilian casualties are children. MAG finds and destroys these weapons to save lives and rebuild futures; helping people to grow crops, attend school and build homes.

Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In February 2015 I am delighted to be taking part in the MAG Cycle Vietnam to Cambodia in support of MAG (Mines Advisory Group).

If you have 5 minutes to spare I would be grateful if you visit  www.maginternational.org to see how they use the monies that you pledge and how it will make a difference in the communities it serves

You don’t need me to tell you how badly damaged these two countries became after wars and dictatorships.  As always, it's the poor and needy who are often worse affected.  MAG goes in to these places and literally saves tens of thousands of lives.

The founder of MAG has won the Nobel Peace Prize - that's how highly rated this charity organisation is.

The cycle ride is no walk in the park and it’s a long way from Chinnor!  We don’t stay in 5 star accommodation (cess-pit alley was the affectionate name given to one B&B the group stayed in last year!).  We don’t eat posh food (much of it is 6 months beyond its sell by date!).  But we will laugh and see stunning countryside and meet amazing people and generally be humbled and grateful for what we do have in life.  And on that point - if there is anything I can do to encourage you to part with some of your hard earned cash for this brilliant charity, I'll be very grateful.

All monies raised go direct to MAG; the trip is paid for entirely separately.  Any donations that you make will be doubled by my employer (General Mills)

Many thanks

Sean
