Sean's PB Charity Challenge 2019

PB Charity Challenge 2019 · 21 September 2019
I'm raising money for MQ, the mental health research charity by walking 28km across the South Downs.
When I first moved to London, I had issues with anxiety to the point that my jaw locked after months of grinding my teeth so much in my sleep. Getting to know a new city, new people and a new job left me feeling exhausted and inferior. I managed to push through, and deal with it alone - which in hindsight was crazy seeing as my experience was far from unique. Right now, one in four people in the UK are living with a mental health condition.
MQ transform lives through research, helping to create a future where mental illnesses are understood, effectively treated and one day prevented. MQ scientists investigate a huge range of issues: depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, eating disorders and more. They are bringing together everything from cutting-edge neuroscience to social studies to find the answers we need.
