Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am trying to raise a small sum of money (£3000) to give to the MacMillan trust.

Nearly 5 years ago my mother died from breast cancer. During her illness she and my family had many a bad day and night. Thanks to MacMillan nursing staff my mother’s suffering was eased with their support.

I feel it is now time that I should show a little thanks to the MacMillan trust for the support that was offered to us during my mother’s illness.

The support they offer is endless and the cost of this is free to those who require it. Without charitable donations, charities like MacMillan would not be able to support cancer suffers and their families.

Nearly everyone knows someone who has had a cancer. Lots of cancer patients often fully recover after they have had treatments, but unfortunately some people do not get the good news that they hope for, and they face a grim time.

This is when MacMillan comes to the fore and supports these people.

This can be your chance to support a great cause and help MacMillan support those who need help the most.

To help raise awareness for the trust. I am intending to cycle the length of Ireland in 3½ days. I will be starting in Cork and finishing in Donegal. This is a huge personal challenge for me as I have never cycled this far in such a short time. The distance is just over 400miles in total and the terrain is not one that is flat.

As you can imagine, to do such a challenge takes a lot of organising and it also costs few pound. I mention this as I want you to know that I will cover all my own costs for this challenge, so all monies donated will be given to MacMillan.

Please dig into your pockets and give a little. I know times are hard at the moment but any donation will be much appreciated and will go far in helping to support those with a need.

Best Regards,

Sean
