We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

From 9–11 June 2017 I'm joining football fans from throughout the UK for the annual Prostate Cancer UK fundraising ride to Amsterdam, which is a a 145-mile pedal pilgrimage to the Dutch capital backed by The English Football League and the League Managers Association.   We leave the Olympic Park and wend our way to Harwich before crossing the North Sea and landing in the Netherlands.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Every hour one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 10,800 men every year. 1 in  8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime.

Ignoring prostate cancer won't beat it. Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Prostate Cancer UK are aiming to raise £500,000 from the event, and our group of AFC Wimbledon fans will be doing our bit!

Any amount you can donate would be gratefully received... :-)
