With my friends Dr Michael Dougan and Terry McGee I am cycling from the very top to the very bottom of Scotland's mainland - John O'Groats to Mull of Galloway - during the first week of May.  We are appealing for sponsorship to raise money to help some of the poorest people in South America through the Martin Chambers Ecuador Trust.  In particular we are trying to make a difference by contributing towards the costs of building and running a health centre in Nueva Prosperina on the outskirts of Guayaquil.
