Story

SEAN COMPLETES THE LONDON TRIATHLON!!!!!!!!

On Saturday the 7th of August 2010 we set out to complete a 750m Swim, 20km bike and 5km run and were successful!!!

Despite being 1369th we put in a good time of 2 hours 26 minutes and 16 seconds

Our Story

Two years ago Sean had a Mountain Biking accident leaving him paralysed from the chest down. For many people with spinal injuries the first two years is the hardest and it has been difficult for both Sean and his family to deal with the changes that have been necessary because of his injury. However, Sean has gone from strength to strength with the help of his family,  friends and of course his own positive attitude.

As a fitting challenge at the end of the first two years Sean, with the help of his friends, has chose to participate in the London Triathlon in August to raise money for Spinal Research. Spinal Research are a charity greatly involved in trying to find new therapies and eventually a cure for paralysis so they are a charity we have strong ties with.

PLEASE HELP OUR APPEAL BY DONATING MONEY. We have tri'd our hardest for Spinal Research and now, so can you!

We would also like to pay a special thank you to London Recumbent Cycles http://www.londonrecumbents.com/ .

for lending us the duet bicycle.

To all of the staff that helped us out at the London Triathlon like Alex Ward and the Transition managers.

And last but not least Robin Plowman at Spinal Research.
