Story
Hello Everyone.
Starting on 12th September, I will be taking part in the 1350 mile Race Around Ireland cycling race and I am looking to win or place a top 3 finish.
It's a monster of a course with many rough roads and approximately 76,000 feet of climbing . To finish in top 3, I will need to cycle at least 22 hours every day and my aim is to finish by Friday lunchtime the 17th September in a total time of approximately 106 hours.
One of the key reasons I am doing this event is to raise money for Fauna and Flora International who are the world's oldest conservation society. Some of their pioneering work involves avoided deforestation projects with a view to generatiing carbon credits in areas such as Indonesia, Cambodia and Equador - their work can be viewed here http://www.fauna-flora.org/climatechange.php FFI also support various forms of endangered species such as the mountain gorilla, snow leopard, tigers and elephants.
I'd be extremely grateful if you could show your support by donating a few pennies or pounds to this wonderful organisation. Rest assured, all donations via the Just Giving site are secure.
Very gratefully yours
Seán
