Story

In September this year, I will be taking on easily the biggest challenge of my lifetime as part of a team with 21 colleagues from Wickes, by cycling across the Tibetan Plateaus from Shigatse to Everest Base Camp, reaching altitudes of over 17,000ft along the way!!

We will cycle over 4 passes in excess of 5000m including the Gyatso La Pass which is the highest road pass on the planet! Our 8 day trek on the bikes will see us cycle 500km across the Himilayas.

Temperatures will range from -20 to +15 throughout each day, with the Himalayas having its own climate and weather system, and living conditions will be far from pleasant, but I am positive, we as a team will concur this challenge.

The most important part of the venture is raising money for those who need it most, and working in partnership with Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research; a charity doing vital and brilliant work in finding a cure for blood cancers.

I will do everything I can and need to do to get to Everest Base Camp to earn the money that you donate! Yes I will experience some of the most amazing views the world has to offer, but the altitude and saddle soar will push me to my limits - this is a huge challenge and one I hope you can support me and the team in raising money for those who need it most.

Thank you so very much!!!
