The event will raise funds for Cornwall Down’s Syndrome Support Group (Registered Charity Number 1123858).  The objects of the Cornwall Downs Syndrome Support Group are to create and develop the conditions which will enable people with Down’s Syndrome to attain their full potential, to offer support to people with Down’s Syndrome, their families and carers in .  

I am sure you will agree what a worth while charity this is. Only a small part of the money  will be used for support vehicles and a medical team, but every last penny of the funds raised will go direct to the charity.  I am trying to raise a minimum of £1,600 but I would love to raise as much money as I can,  so please get your friends, family, work colleagues and anybody in general to donate, spread the word and lets make a big difference to these peoples lives!

The ride will begin from Launceston Rugby Club, Cornwall on Sunday 27th June 2010. The tour starts with a short cycle to Plymouth to catch the Ferry to Roscoff, Brittany.  This is the beginning of the tour de France leg of the journey.  We then head along country lanes, through picturesque landscapes with some strenuous hill climbs,  and after several long days in the saddle, our journey ends at the Eifel Tower, Paris on Sunday July 4th 2010; approximately 420 miles and seven days from when we set out on this epic adventure in the name of charity. ( And a box of plasters stuck, well, i can't say where some things are best left to the imagination ).
