Story
Here in the developed world, we take clean water for granted - we simply turn the tap and it's there - but in developing countries across Asia and Africa, this isn't an option. Many poor and needy people have no choice but to drink dirty water knowing it could kill them.
On August 24/25th, I will be climbing the highest mountain in the UK in order to fundraise enough money for Penny Appeal's Thirst Relief Project, who will be installing wells to give communities reliable access to clean water. This means they can drink, wash, make wudhu, grow crops and water their animals safely.
Our beloved Prophet Muhammed (saw) has stated: "The best charity is giving water to drink." (Ahmad)
