I was inspired to do something because my uncle works for Mary's Meals and he tells me a lot about the brilliant work they do. I do a lot of camping, rock climbing, mountain biking and other stuff like that so I decided to do a sponsored event because I thought it would be great if I could do something to raise money for Mary's Meals.

On Friday 10th August 2012, we will cycle from Mary's Meals Headquarters in Dalmally to Oban where we will camp for the night.  The next day we will travel across the Minch to Lochboisdale, South Uist by ferry and then cycle on to the foot of Beinn Mhor.   We'll camp overnight and then on Sunday 12th August we'll climb the 2000 feet to the summit where I'll play two tunes I've written for Mary's Meals on my bagpipes.
