Story

Thanks very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Some of you will know that our Daughter, Megan who is nearly 5 years old, was diagnosed with Epilepsy in March 2009  this year. Although it was a huge shock to us all (with no obvious symptons) we have now learnt how to deal with it and the condition has now been stabilised with the use of various types of medication. We have nothing but praise for everyone that has been involved over the last year and we have forgotten how many people we have spoken to about what we thought was a rare condition. It is not until you start speaking to people that you find out how many people actually have epilepsy and how common it actually is in every walk of life. There are so many different types of Epilepsy which can be caused by all sorts of everyday occurrances. I am sure you will know some who has epilepsy and you won't even know about it!!!!!

My wife and I have now decided to try and give something back to the charity that we have called upon on a few occasions over the last year by taking part in the BRADFORD 10K Run which takes place on the 21st March 2010.

We would really love to raise as much as possible for a great cause so that people in the future who go through what we have can actually benefit from all the great work that Epilepsy Action do.

We have just had a few more members (see the picture and team list) enrol to our team so it's a family affair - So any family and friends of all us please dig deep and donate.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep, donate now and help a great cause.

The Telegraph and Argos Newspaper has just covered Megan's story. Here's a lnk:

UPDATE:

We have completed the race. What an experience. Everyone did extremely well and we all finished!!!!

Now more training begins as we are all doing it again next year.

If anyone was to keep donating then this website will be open till the end of APRIL. If you need to speak to me about this please feel free to contact me by email on
