Flora London Marathon 2006 · 23 April 2006 ·

SeeAbility provides ambitious social care for people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss. We encourage them to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves and from wider society - and they in turn challenge us all to think about what’s possible, and to rethink disability.

Story

Hello Everyone,

I'm doing the Flora London Marathon this year for a charity called "SeeAbility" they help blind, partially sighted and disabled people.

I will be looking to complete the course in under 4hours?? Early training pace suggests this will not be achievable however if on the day, there is a heavy tailwind and many stages of the course are downhill, and I wear those trainers that have wheels that pop out of the soles then I feel this time is well within my reach!!

Please feel free to come along and laugh at me on the day, or just go to Tower bridge have a quick look and then meet me in a pub a couple of hours later and pretend you watched all it, either way I'll be too delirious to care.

Hope to see you all soon, just give what you can, no pressure!!!

LOTS OF LOVE

Shane Gabressalassie - Radcliffe O'Connor
