Many children and young people know little about the countryside and rural way of life. Its programme of educational initiatives will introduce them, and their teachers, to the beauty, importance and diversity of our rural heritage, inspiring them to become passionate about its future and protect it for future generations.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been passionate about the countryside, farming, field sports and rural life all my life. Having been a milkmaid, shepherdess and farmer, I am now a keen beagler and involved with point-to-pointing and national hunt racing. I have had a long history with horses, including riding in point-to-points, and now enjoy watching my homebred racehorse point-to-point.

I have always run but lately have taken to competing in a few races, and now feel it is the time to do something big. The challenge of running the marathon has always been a goal of mine, and I want to use the opportunity to raise money for the British rural community and country sports.

The Countryside Alliance was created in 1997 and has become the voice of rural Britain. Their work in the countryside covers a broad spectrum; from all field sports to supporting members on various issues from food to farming, local businesses and services.
