Aspire Channel Swim 2010 · 5 December 2010 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Hi there

Some of you may already know that I had been training to swim one mile in the open sea for BHF but unfortunately hurt my back before the swim so had to pull out, so rather than letting all my hard work go to waste I have found a fantastic alternative and have joined some 7,000 other swimmers around the country to swim the channel!

I will actually be completing the distance of 22 miles over a 12 week period in my local swimming pool and want to raise £250 for Aspire - one of the UK's leading spinal injury charities.

I have already started my swimming challenge which is due to finish on Sunday 5th December but please help me support this great charity and donate.  Your donations will make a huge difference to those people living with spinal injury.

Also thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
