Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For quite some time now I have been trying to honour the memory of my mother, Mrs Joyce Haynes. She gave of her time freely and selflessly always being concerned about the welfare of others and putting them before herself every time. As such, my mother did an awful lot of good in the community in and around Rochdale. I am endeavouring to continue to support those charities to which my mother gave her support.
When she was 59 my mother had a very severe stroke and after her recovery she gained a great deal of support from the local stroke club in Rochdale. My Aunt, who suffered a stroke later, is still an active member of the stroke club. Raising money for the Stroke association will not directly benefit the Rochdale stroke club, however it will allow the organisation to help and support stroke victims and fund research into the illness.
The Great Manchester run will be broadcast live on television and by the use of technology it is possible to track my progress live via the internet as I wend my way through the streets of Manchester. All you have to do is email me at shaunhaynesgb@btinternet.com and I will send you the link and instructions.
