Shaun's London Triathlon Fundraising Page for Crohn's

London Triathlon 2017 · 22 July 2017 to 23 July 2017 ·
Crohn’s and Colitis UK is a national charity in the battle against Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. We are fighting to achieve a better quality of life for the 300,000 people in the UK suffering physically and emotionally from these and other forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Ultimately, we want to find a cure.
Someone very close to me suffers from Crohn's disease and at times this can cause life to be a daily struggle that few people understand and are therefore unsympathtic towards.
This can be a horrible disease to live with day in and day out. There is no cure and people afflicated must learn to manage the symptoms for the rest of their life. This can result in constant discomfort and be emotionally draining. There is little awareness about this disease, and ultimately very little support available for people affected.
Extra funding on research and helping people afflicted by this illness can have a huge impact in a number of areas. Please join me in helping the effort :-)
As well as donating myself I will be aiming to get as close to Paul Pester's (TSB CEO) time as possible and with any luck overhaul Paul!
I have gone from doing almost no exercise to putting together and following (mostly) a rigourous trianing scehdule to try and be competitive on the big day.
There are a couple of photos from the early triaing starting in January on the day I signed up, I'll keep you all updated on the progress! :-)
Please donate generously, and thank you in advance.
