In October 2017 my wife Jane noticed something strange and just
over a week later, was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a shock to all involved and the start of a very unexpected journey. It is only then that I started to appreciate that there are so many different types, stages of development of cancer, possible treatments and courses of action. 

It is amazing how much has been done in trying to find ways to deal with cancer but also how little is known about certain conditions and the relative success of the various treatments.  

Her journey continues after chemotherapy and hopefully for many years longer. 

A team of 22 colleagues from Dassault Systemes will take a
journey by bicycle from our offices in Cambridge to one of our other Northern European offices in 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch) in the Netherlands over 4 days. We will be travelling over 350 miles and passing through 4 countries. 350 miles in 4 days!

Not content with just getting there I will also be riding back, taking the ferry from Holland to Harwich and cycling back to Cambridge adding an additional 160 miles in 2 days but not going through any new countries. 

So in total 510 miles, in 6 days!
