We successfully completed our row yesterday (24th May) in 4 hours & 2 minutes, the weather was almost perfect apart from some rough seas just outside Dover Harbour. We saw a pair of dolphins half way across who swam alongside us for a few minutes!

A big Thankyou to all of my sponsors.....

Hello there, and thankyou for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Yes I know I have done this before, but this time it will be harder as we are rowing in a 4 man scull which is smaller and less stable than the 6 man boat that we went across in last time. In fact the friends that I am rowing with attempted the crossing last October and got out of the harbour and capsized & sunk - fortunately everyone was ok. So they have recruited an experienced rower with previous cross channel success (??!). We have been out training in Dover Harbour once or twice a week since the end of February - and yes the water is very cold! We are planning to make our crossing between May 24th & 26th depending on the weather.

We are rowing for a very worthwhile cause, The Anthony Nolan Trust, which is an independent charity, so it continually relies of financial support from individuals and organisations to carry out its lifesaving work. Every year thousands of children and adults with fatal bone marrow diseases, like leukaemia and aplastic anaemia, reach a stage when their only hope of survival is a blood stem cell transplant from a donor who shares the same ‘tissue type’, The Anthony Nolan Trust makes this possible.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now, thank you very much.
