Perkins Great Eastern Run · 11 October 2009

St Luke’s is an independent charity caring for terminally ill adults and their loved ones across Sheffield. Each year, we care for around 1,900 patients most of whom are cared for in their own home by our Specialist Palliative Care Community team.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 11th October 2009 I am taking part in the Perkins Great Eastern Run in Peterborough, in an attempt to run my first half marathon (13.1miles).

As part of the run I will be raising money for St Luke's Hospice in Sheffield. I have been working at St Luke's part-time for a number of months now, and the Hospice relies a lot on donations and charity events for money towards the running costs. So I can think of nothing better than to try and raise money for the hospice by competing in a half marathon.

I am hoping to raise as much money as possible, and would even like to beat the target I have set, so any money you could donate would be gratefully recieved.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks,

Shaun
