Vanessa is my little friend and she  is fighting neuroblastoma, a very aggressive childhood cancer.  She and the rest of her family - Anna, Parker,  Ruby and Zoe  are very dear to both Saskia and myself.  I will never forget when we first heard the devasting news in 2012....  

Vanessa now  urgently requires an immunotherapy treatment which is available only at Sloane Kettering Hospital in New York.   She has been an absolute star throughout this horrendous ordeal,  endless treatments chemo and radiotherapy.. yet I still see her,  making it to school on her little scooter when she can,  always with her VERY strict eye for detail...   she is the only one who will catch me out if my nails aren't perfectly painted! and to check my accesories pass her approval!   She puts a smile on everyone's face around her.  

I want to do whatever I can hence I am going to run for this little lady, and would appreciate so dearly if you could sponsor me in my very first 10k run!
