Ben Hughes is raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust

#ShaveForJames · 10 July 2015

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Earlier this year James Morrison was told that he had a tumour in his spine. He is currently undergoing treatment at King's College Hospital in London, and has remained strong and optimistic throughout his time there.

James is only 17, and we were all stunned to hear that he had been so severely affected by cancer at such a young age. We want to do everything we can to support him through this difficult time, and feel that raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust will do just that. The charity is close to his heart, and all donations will go towards helping James and other young people in his situation.

As a side-effect of his chemotherapy James' hair has fallen out. To show our love and support for him, we (Ben Hughes, George Majin and Ben Donnelly and OPGS P.E teacher Mr.Devonald) will be shaving our heads in a few weeks' time. We hope this will raise awareness of the risk posed by cancer to young adults, and we would greatly appreciate any donations to help such a worthy cause.

We don't actually have a specific target in mind, we just hope to raise as much money as possible for a great cause! Please give whatever you can, and help spread the word!

Thank You,

#ShaveForJames
