Story
Thanks for looking-in at my JustGiving page. Please read on because I’d really appreciate your help in raising funds for a very worthy cause that’s very close to my heart.
On Saturday 5 October I will be undertaking a 26 mile marathon walk from Chelmsford to the London Stadium at Stratford to attend the West Ham v Crystal Palace match.
Q. What's inspired me to do this?
A. I’ve lost my grandfather and my father to cancer
And now the man who introduced my son and I to the “West Ham way” is fighting his own battle with cancer.
We will be starting our walk from the home of a lifelong Hammer who lost his battle with Prostate Cancer last year.
Prostate Cancer is killing one man every 45 minutes in the UK, 1 in 8 men will get Prostate Cancer at some point in their lives.
Please help me in my efforts to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK. This wonderful organisation has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. It aims to shift the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and support to stop prostate cancer being a killer. It is there for everyone who believes our fathers, brothers, husbands, partners and sons are worth fighting for.
