Welcome to our fundraising page :-) Thank you sooo much for donating towards our chosen charity, which I am sure you will agree is a very worthwhile cause.   As crazy as it seems, we have decided to take on one of the worlds toughest expeditions in just 5 months time....... yep, you got it, we are going to climb one of the worlds largest volcanoes and the largest free standing mountain in the world, Kilimanjaro!  Why? Well why not! :-) We wanted to take on a real challenge and if you're going to do something, then you've got to do it properly. So, instead of a stroll to the local, we've decided to ditch the heels and wellies and put on our hiking boots for the trek of a lifetime.  Unfortunately, we have both lost loved ones to various causes and wanted to do something to make a difference. With this challenge, we aim to raise a staggering £20,000 and with you're help we're hoping to change the lives of many with the donations made to the Richard Burns Foundation. The Richard Burns Foundation is a charity that exists to provide a real legacy in Richard's name of expert medical provision for those suffering neurological illness or injury, with a special emphasis on the young. Their long-term mission is to provide Centre’s throughout the UK to assist those with brain and spinal injury or illness. The range of neurological disorders affecting the brain is almost endless and affect us in vitro (Spina Bifida, neural tube defect) to babies and young children (Autism, Meningitis) to young adult (Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone disease) all the way through to later life (Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s). Not forgetting, those suffering from cancer or injuries.
