<p class="MsoNormal" style="behavior: none;"><span style="font-size: x-small; color: #000000; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">On the 1st October, Gary, Cathy and Sam will ‘fire’ walking across 15ft of red hot embers (approx 1200 degrees Fahrenheit) at Stonelees Golf Centre (CT12 5DJ) to raise valuable funds for the R</span>SPCA Canterbury & District. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="behavior: none;"><span style="font-size: x-small; color: #000000; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">This charity is entirely self funding. It has taken many years to realise the dream of building a rescue centre which will care for (and ultimately rehome) up to 40 cats, 20 dogs, and numerous small animals, at any one time. The new centre in Hersden, will finally be opened by the end of 2011. The running costs for such a refuge are estimated to be in the region of £150,000 per annum.</span></span></p>
