Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page-unfortunately for me this will be a lot quicker experience for you than i will be entailing unless of course you decide to come along for the run!!!!
I am aiming through a mixture of torture on my legs and sleep deprivation to run 110 miles from Helmsley to Filey along the Cleveland Way in the 'Hardmoors 110 Ultra Marathon', and aim to complete this in less than 36hrs (hopefully a lot quicker)!!
This is an entirely new experience for me and maybe the last, depending on whether i get lost in the dark or fall off the cliffs at the Boulby!!
What i thought was a brilliant idea (although i can't claim it as my own-i borrowed it from Ultra marathan man Dean Karnazes) was for all my lovely family and friends, those existing and those still to be met, to come along and RUN A SECTION with me a mile or more or even just 100 meters, but PAY £1/MILE for the privilege to help raise the target.
If that doesn't take your fancy any support would be welcome a cheery face or tea and cakes enroute would be wonderful!!
The two charities i have chosen (assisted by my father in law) are Free From Pain cancer fund at James Cook University hospital and the Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham, where an increasing number of soldiers injured in Afghanistan have been treated
This is one way to help raise money to assist, and put something back for those desperately in need of some help.
If you're a few quid short, with tired legs at the end, it's only a short term issue (unless you fall off the cliff with me) but you will have made a difference!!
I look forward to seeing all your donations, running with you all, as well as eating all the lovely cakes i'm sure you're going to provide me with!!!!
Important info keep 5pm Friday 3rd June free plus 36hrs!!!!
Now the boring bit
