Adam and I have created this page in loving memory of Dale Hurd. Dale spent many years working with the chariety A Child's Smile helping those less fortunate than herself.
Many children in Cambodia are forced into working on rubbish dumps, in appalling unhygienic conditions, collecting anything they can to make some money. Many of them also suffer from domestic violence. A Child's Smile was created to provide more opportunities for these children and to give them a better life. The chariety dedicates itself to reintroducing these children back into the state education system or providing education for those that are too old or unstable. They are involved in creating boarding houses for those that cannnot stay at home thus allowing them to continue with their education.
Dale had an active role in the organisation teaching children how to speak English as well as being involved in fundraising for the chariety and personally sponsoring a number of students to enure they got the education and safety they deserved. This chariety meant a great deal to her as demonstrated by her dedication and so instead of wedding gifts we ask that you donate to this chariety instead, to help continue the good work people like Dale have done and are continuing to do!
