My name is Shila and I am an ordinary teen who would like to help make a difference in the world and help those who are deprived. Penny Appeal gave me the platform to do this, therefore I would like to take this opportunity to ask you all to help me with a project.

My aim is to raise £300.00 to help build water wells and provide for those in Palestine, Syria, Yemen and Rohingya. Allowing people access to clean water without having to travel long distances.

Helping the less fortunate is an act of sunnah, which is why I would like to inspire many young minds by encouraging them to participate in charity work.

We have a 100% zakat policy! Meaning all money raised will be going to charity alone.

663 million people in the world – one in ten – do not have access to clean water and around 315,000 children under the age of five, die every year from diarrheal diseases caused by dirty water and poor sanitation. That's almost 900 children per day/one child every two minutes.
