Story
In February 2008 I was part of a dental team which visited Uganda on behalf of CRU. In November 2010 I will be joining another team and so I did a sponsored grade one haircut to raise money towards the cost of the dental supplies and transport etc as without these we are unable to provide any treatment. It was quite good fun and I've got used to the odd looks. I'm hoping to raise in excess of £1,000 as the cost of treatment works out at approximately £3 per person which is a bargain compared to the cost in this country but a sum of money which is way beyond the means of the average Ugandan. If everyone who reads this is able to give just £3 then we would be able to treat many more people, some may have had toothache for a couple of years which would be absolutely unthinkable to people in the UK.
